Making a Reservation
How many guests can Cropportunities2 accommodate?
I can accommodate up to 8 overnight guests and up to 8 scrapbookers at any
given time. The main cropping room has space for 8 croppers.
What if just two or three of us want to come?
4 is the minimum guest size, but depending on the weekend we may be able to
accommodate. Contact the store with questions. One thing to note is that
another group may be booked for the same weekend with groups of 4 or less. A
perfect opportunity to meet some fellow crafters.
What time is check-in and check-out?
Standard check in is 2pm on Thursday. Standard Check out is noon on Sunday.
However to maximize your time, each group has some flexibility depending on
reservations. Check about a week before your arrival to finalize times.
What to Pack
What should I bring with me on the scrapbooking retreat?
Your personal scrapbooking or crafting supplies, personal toiletries, and don’t forget
those comfy, lounging clothes and slippers! There is a TV and a Blu-Ray disc player so
you might want to bring some movie favorites. (Your regular dvds will play in the Blu-
Ray player). In the work area there is a CD player and a place to plug in your iPod in
case you need music to get your creative juices flowing.
Don’t forget there is a full service scrapbook store available on site.
I’m here but my toothbrush isn’t!?
We all know the most important items to be packed for a getaway at
Cropportunities2 will be your scrapbooking or crafting supplies so that toothbrush
might get forgotten! I’ve got you covered! I’ll have an emergency basket with some
of the basics in case you forget (shampoo, conditioner, and soap, etc.).
Where to Eat
Are any meals provided at the scrapbooking retreat?
No food is provided. I do provide coffee and some creamers. For your meals, you
have several options such as subs, soups, and pizzas. Cropportunities2 is within
walking distance of a few eating establishments and a short drive time of many
excellent Wisconsin Rapids restaurants. Menus are provided to help make your
choice. Some even offer delivery. You are welcome to bring your own food and do
your own cooking in the kitchen. There is a dishwasher to make clean up easier! View
a list of our kitchen inventory on the retreat page.
Can we get our meals catered in?
For the ultimate getaway weekend, contract with our caterer, Great Expectations,
to have your meals prepared for you. You may contact them at 715-423-3190. (All
planning, scheduling, and payment is directly handled by Great Expectations)
What about security?
Every guest staying at our scrapbooking retreat should feel safe and secure. The
building will be locked after 9pm, however there will be someone on staff available
on site 24/7. The scrapbooking work area is an open area to anyone onsite.
What happens if we accidentally pack up a scrapbooking supply from the work area
and it comes home with us?
As part of the check-in process, we do an inventory check of the scrapbooking work
area with you to make sure all the supplies are there for your use and that you will not
be held responsible for an item that is not there. This same inventory checklist will be
used when you are done using the scrapbooking work area. This way you can be sure
all the scrapbooking supplies are accounted for before you head home. If we find
that something is missing, we will contact your scrapbooking group leader. You will
be responsible for paying the shipping to have the item returned to us, and if it can’t
be located the group leader will be billed for the missing item.
What are we responsible for cleaning?
This is your time away from home, so we ask for minimal cleaning from you! Please
clean the kitchen and make sure you remove any food from the refrigerator. We will
take care of the rest!
